Bernstein's Prelude, Fugue, and Riff for clarinet

Post by Bob Kolada »

Is there an Eb part available for this (or, , a concert pitch bass clef part)? I need to play this on tuba someday! I figure I can double the bass trombone or baritone saxophone before the solo to add to the "tuba-ity" of it (maybe down an octave!! ).

Thanks!

Can't help you with a part Bob but everyone should hear this played by the LSO Brass (with a few friends) on their 'American' disc. In fact that whole disc is truly immense...

It's available on iTunes - at least in the UK.
WELL worth it.

I love this piece. If anyone has transcribed it for brass ensemble--better yet, recorded such a transcription--I'd buy it! Of course, the Bernstein estate (Jalni, Amberson, etc.) has a tight hold on everything Bernstein, including his trademarked signature...
