At 3 pm at the 5 Seasons Westside at 1000 Marietta St, Atlanta, GA 30318 at the intersection of Howell Mill and Marietta in the new Brickworks development a tuba quartet will kick off the 5 Seasons October Fest and we will be playing (well sight reading) some of Ray Grims' stuff, whatever we find in our books and we have a kick butt arrangement of under the bridge!
Then at 5pm on 10/3/09 (Saturday) Mercury Orkestar will be playing. We plan on doing some Octoberfest tunes along with our regular list of wacky crap to include, traditional Balkan tunes, we added a Michael Jackson tune (Don't stop) we have some Bartok that we might do, some white zombie, Britney Spears, Nirvana, you know stuff people usually play on brass instruments. It will be fun and the food is always amazing at the 5 and I'm told the beer is really good too! It's a family show, so you can bring the kiddies (I'll try hard not to blurt out any swear words).
I'm not sure what they are charging for it, but it's usually tons of food and beer.
