Camaro + tuba?

Post by dopey »

I am looking to get a 92` camaro RS. Does anyone happen to have a camaro and can comment about getting their tuba in/out the vehicle? I'd hate to tell the seller i'll need to take it home to check and see if my tuba will fit.

I drove it last night, and when I got out I looked for ways to get a tuba in it, I'm thinking either lay the back seat down and open the back up and lay it in, or lay the passenger seat down and slide it in there?

Anyone have a camaro? and play tuba?:D

P.S. this is hardcase, not gig bag

Go drive it again this evening and this time take your tuba along.

Did you check to see if the transmission will go into reverse? Did you look to see if the lights all work? Did you test the radio? If the tuba fit is important to you, by all means tell them you want to test for that. I take all prospective new cars to my house to see if the garage situation will work, and the dealers know it! It might just strike up an interesting conversation, as well.

I own a 1995 Camaro

Post by ThomasP »

I happen to own a 1995 Camaro, and I've transported two tubas and luggage sucessfully, its not easy, but if you use the space provided well and fold the back seat down it will work. I just thought I would chime in and tell you, I have the new body style, or one of the most recent, I don't know if 1992 is the same or not. I hope this helps

In the 80's I had a friend with an 80's Camaro (coincidence!?!) and he was able to fit an upright String Bass in his car, with the seath folded down and the neck passing through between the front seats.
