Good point.
But I did want to actually buy and included in an email a pic of my horn, bell dimensions, and an offer
to pre-pay before delivery. I'm sure the Schlipf mutes
are a fine product as my old friend Mark Jones
(Keith Brion's New Sousa Band tour) has mentioned.

Yup, it sticks out maybe an inch from the bell. I store it in my tuba, in the gig bag. Works great. I'm not sure if it's lighter/heavier than other brands. It's not so bad though.

To measure, I think Lee only needed the bell diameter and the diameter of the bell throat about 12 inches down (or something like that).
