As John Fletcher played a 981 with straight leadpipe, I rather wonder if it is in fact him? Do I also see a euphonium being played - presumably on Wagner tuba part? What date was this recording? Surely such inappropriate instruments were not still being used in the 1985?
Re: Bruckner 8/ GiuliniIt is John Jenkins playing his sovereign 981 tuba with an S shaped mouthpipe. It has a 19 inch bell.
