Hello Tubenetters
I am searching for any information about the previous owner of my tuba. The gentlemen's name was Keemer Wetzel and he lived in or very close to Potsdam, New York. I purchased the horn through a third party and never did meet Mr.Wetzel. The purchase was made in 1976 as our family was spending the summer in the 1000 Islands area. I have often wondered about the previous life of my King(H.N.White) 3 valve BBb horn. It came to me with a gold bell and a silver body also. If there is anyone in that Upper New York State area that has any information they could share or where I could look please send me a pm or email me at horlicka@hotmail.com" target="_blank
Thanks!

Thank you Brian!!!
What a pleasant surprise to find your entry on tubenet tonight! I am thrilled to finally learn about Keemer Wetzel. It makes sense that he would have been a band teacher. The woman who bought the tuba for me was Mary Bruner, she was also a music teacher in that area. Mary and her family had a cottage on the Gananoque Ontario Golf Club Road. If you look up Stone's Creek Lane, Gananoque Ontario you'll see a large piece of open grass and a small harbor. That continues to be in our family to this day. Mary's cottage was to the east of ours, directly fronting the St.Lawrence. Mary bought the tuba and brought it back to me at the cottage and I have been using it ever since.
Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas!
