Principal Tuba

Applications are sought from musicians of outstanding ability for the position of Principal Tuba with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is one of Australia's leading orchestras. Based in one of the world's most liveable cities, it has a reputation for excellence, versatility and innovation. Melbourne audition dates: Friday 9 and Saturday 10 April 2010

Requirements: The complete Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto, with piano accompaniment PLUS orchestral excerpts, available on Monday 15 March 2010

Closing date: Friday 12 March 2010

Applicants attending live auditions in Melbourne must be availabl for both whole days.

Applicants wishing to send a recording should contact Angela Chilcott before applying. The orchestral excerpts will be provided to applicants four weeks prior to their scheduled recording but no earlier than 1 March 2010.

This position is open to candidates of any nationality.

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra offers an attractive salary package for the successful candidate.
