Christmas , the sequel
went into local music shop today , daughters violin needs work....one of my favorite trombone blowers happened to be there . " Hey < I 've been looking for you ..." , not something I neccesarily want to here , " come out in the parking lot with me for a sec..." , oh no, I can't imagine what I might have done , " Jim , I've been driving around with this in my trunk for a few weeks now, it s been in my dads garage for 25 years ..." producing a Bb tuba, almost black, but valves work , slides move and wishing me a Merry Christmas as he handed it over. Its got some bumps and dings but hell< I ve played worse...brought it home and hosed it off ( literally) put a little tarn x on the bell , applied a little elbow grease and its a Kalashen !!! 1171 New York engraved on the bell, its small, light and has an old American lead pipe/ reciever- probably needs an adapter or a tuning bit as my Wick went in too far and my other MPs barely - I got the Kelly 18 into her far enough to toot and darned if the thing doesnt sound pretty good !!!
I'll post pics later- its getting a bath right now !! Merry Christmas to me...must have been a good boy !!!

A former Bundeskansler with an early American made Kalashnikov. That’s really something!
Congratulations!

Yes Klaus- lets hope I don't hurt anyone with this ! Links to pics included here...you may notice in the picture an old case in which my Besson sleeps- there are hand painted warnings on the case, about the danger of what is inside. War Horn- DANGER - do not point at head or face !!! Capable of Very Loud Play - Must Be 18 or over to operate ! Imagine the damage I can do with this one once it gets cleaned up ? Sign me up for the long parade ! This one only weighs about 15 lbs...Merry Christmas and happy New Year ! Gerhard S.

I like the clarification of what else may be accepted as food. Now back to "eating!!"
