I recently purchased a 5 valve EEb tuba from mr.Tuba in the UK.
Does anybody know a good book to practice the 5th valve?
Kind regards, Joost Jimmink

Thx peach! No it is a Kalison AK2044, like in my avatar....Peach wrote:Congrats on the new tuba; presumably a MW 2040/5? Nice instruments...

I played a 981 and 2040/5 together for 2 years and had no problem switching between 5 valve and compensated, but then trying to play Eb and F did do my brain in!Bob Kolada wrote:So you have a comp 4 valve Eb and a non-comp 5 valve Eb? Good luck to your brain!

Yes I'm sure. It is slightly different as in the picture. There are no pictures on the net I believe. I think "tubamichael" has the same horn.jon112780 wrote:Are you sure it's a Eb?
The Besson has to go, unfortunately. So my only horn is the Kalison.Neptune wrote:I played a 981 and 2040/5 together for 2 years and had no problem switching between 5 valve and compensated, but then trying to play Eb and F did do my brain in!
