Ionel concerto recording
I am working on a research project analyzing tuba concertos and one of the ones I'm going to be using is the Dumitru Ionel Concerto No.1. I've been having some trouble locating a recording of the concerto with orchestra which will be used in the research to help with analysis. Any help locating it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Ionel concerto recording
You might try emailing Eugene Dowling at the University of Victoria (B.C.). I'm almost certain Gene knew the composer at one time. Sorry, I have no email address for him. FWIW, Gene played the hell out of one of Ionel's pieces last weekend at SEATEC in Seattle.
