Rudolph Meinl Tuba

Post by pierso20 »

So who sells these things nowadays? Are they still produced?

I asked because I just met a SOPHOMORE HIGH SCHOOL kid who just "bought" his first cc tuba. A CC Rudy piston....BOY is it beautiful, but it also looks BRAND new. I just can't fathom having parents who would shell out that kinda dough for a tuba. Of course, part of me is just jealous :P

I'm hoping to find out more about it next time I visit that school. Maybe he'll let me toot a few notes!!!!

Lee Stofer is an authorized dealer. There are probably a few others who could order one for you. I don't know of anyone who is actually stocking them right now. I bought my Rudy YEARS ago from the Brasswind and I have seen posts in the last few years regarding horns being ordered through "the horn guys" and Custom Music.

Personally, I would start with Lee who is an active member and sponsor of this site and has his own website: http://www.tubameister.com/" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank .

Good luck! I have been in love with my 3/4 Rudy since I bought it some 20 years ago and I am keeping my ears to the ground now for a larger Rudy now.
