Federal Stimulus Funding to go to Blessing Music

Post by sinfonian »

With all the discussion about the clones in the last few days, it's nice to see an american Music company bringing jobs back to the USA from Germany and Tiawan.

HI-
Very neat. I know some of the Fed. Stim money has even gone to Orchestras--Buffalo Phil. was able to snag some...very cool.

Blessing has always been a 'favorite' of mine. Their parts program has always been excellent and the parts lady really had a handle on things. I could call and have my parts withing just a day or so. The only made one tuba in recent years and discontinued that just a couple of years ago... the B-450 was VERY close to the King 1140. Not a bad student-level horn.

Blessing was bought by Powell Flute Company a few months ago. I'm hoping that they continue in the great tradition of being service-oriented. Here's the story as it appeared on The Trumpet Guild http://www.trumpetguild.org/news/09/0998sb.html
