Musical Expansion in Elkhart, Indiana

Post by The Big Ben »

Listening to NPR's "All Things Considered" this afternoon, there was a story about Blessing's expansion plans in Elkhart, Indiana. They are adding 20 jobs now and are looking to add more if things hold up. The representative from Blessing stated that they were looking to make a committment to the American musical instrument industry.

Have a look/listen:

I think the 'parts lady' (Shirley) retired a few months ago when the sale became apparent. She was only working part time but let me tell you.... this lady 'knew her stuff' and could tell you exactly what was in stock at any given time. Never had any problems getting parts from Blessing. I hope this tradition continues.

Unlike the situation with Besson who's brands were picked up by Buffet-Crampon. Just try getting euphonium parts from those guys!

Well... 'Shirley' was close! :) She's one heck of a nice lady. Parts were never a problem.
