Cerveny CB681

Post by milnj00 »

This post isn't really about this horn per se, but about the person selling it.

I had a Cerveny when I was in college and lately I have been thinking about getting a horn again, thus my interest in the auction. Not to sound like a jerk, but this horn is way overpriced- especically the Buy It Now option. I sent a message to the seller about the horn and suggested a more realistic price since he wants more than a new costs at WWBW. The seller never responded. I was curious to see what other items this fellow had auctioned. The one that I could still view was a remote controlled helicopter. Then I checked what he was buying. Nothing tuba related, but interestingly he's stocking up on gun magazines, laser sights, camoflage clothing and a wedding ring.

Do you guys think someone is selling their tuba to fund their militia activities?

Or maybe . . .

- seller did not respond to you out of annoyance at your question (seller stated the asking price on an auction - if you don't like the asking price, your best option is simply NOT TO BID as opposed to pestering the seller about the price you think is too high); and
- seller is simply a hunter, or likes hunting equipment.

He's a pretty lame hunter if he needs a laser scope.

Also, I think it's reasonable to point out the falsehood in his ad. They don't retail for $6000.
