Curtains!

Post by jeopardymaster »

I signed up to play this Kander/Ebb show for a local community theater group, mainly because I enjoy working with the music director and may need a return favor someday. I can't make the second weekend so I'm splitting the "gig" with another tubist/trombonist.

Anyone else out there do this show? It's mainly bass trombone but the tuba doubles show up frequently, often with VERY little time to switch. Further annoyance is found with page turns indicating "time" when the next entrance is only 3 or even 2 bars hence, in a really fast tempo.

This book is driving me nuts.

Photocopy the "quick turn" or "quick change" pages and tape them to the preceding page so you have a heads up and remember where you're going.
