Well, to further hijack this posting, I'd have to say I heartily recommend a much-more-expensive-than-I-would-have-liked stand that I ultimately bought: the DESCA stand. It closes up into a box 4"x4"x23" and uses the same leg-stand as does my Baltimore Brass support stand-they supply it to David. Built like a tank, weighs about 5 pounds.I would not carry it in the bell, but I carry a cloth satchel-type bag for the stand, light, pencils, etc.
http://www.desca.com" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank This has a solid desk with a 4x4 shelf under it, has the flat-to-the-ground legs of the BB stand that you can rest your foot on in windy conditions, yet you won't trip on it like the K&M stands. Worth the little extra weight over and above the Voyager, IMHO.
Your link took me to a surprising location.
Perhaps you meant:

But...I couldn't figure out how to buy one. Or even, how much it might cost.
Quite clever, though - the stand is it's own box!
Thanks, Sloan, I was just going back to edit the address! Yes, that is the correct one.You need to click the "contact desca" button for information [or call them in Wisconsin]. They are more costly than most of the other alternatives, but in my estimation, flat out worth the difference.
