I plan on playing Bruckner 4 with the Guenter Wand/NDR recording on YouTube so loud it blows the ceiling off the music building.
Same as most any other day.

Re: Friday is INTERNATIONAL TUBA DAY!
Staring wistfully at my tuba, telling her that it will only be two weeks 'til I can play again.
And going to jury duty.
Like I will ever get selected to sit on a jury.
And going to jury duty.

I'll be be playing tuba[/b
in the KAUAI COMMUNITY COLLEGE Wind Symphony Spring Concert and the following week in the KCC Orchestra.
This year's concerts are both happy and sad times for all of us as our founding conductor, Larry McIntosh,
recently passed away. In 1987 the KCC Instrumental Music Ensembles' Program, Wind Symphony, Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble, was initiated by Larry to provide Kauai with upper educational music performance programs. He had been the band instructor at Kauai High School for many years. His KCC baton will be taken over by four very competent, long time performers in the KCC ensembles: Sarah Tochiki and Karen Kirchner, Wind Symphony interim directors, Nina Saraos, interim Orchestra director and Barry Toy, interim Jazz Ensemble director.
We are pleased to hear that the KCC administration is planning to continue Larry's vision and I know that all of us hope to be able to still have these outlets for our talents.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that Walter Hilgers?Todd S. Malicoate wrote:I plan on playing Bruckner 4 with the Guenter Wand/NDR recording on YouTube so loud it blows the ceiling off the music building.
