Hi

I have been provisionally been booked to play the following next year.

Can you let me know which pieces have tuba, any possible dodgy bits and best instrument (I have EEb and BBb)

Overture - Prince Igor - Borodin

Concierto de Aranjuez (soloist Bridget Mermikides - guitar) - Rodrigo

Symphony no. 2 - Sibelius

Overture - Die Meistersinger - Wagner

Brahms Double Concerto

La Calinda - from ‘Koanga’ - Delius

Suite - Henry V - Walton

The Perfect Fool - Holst

Overture - Poet and Peasant - Suppé

Piano Concerto - Schumann

La Boutique Fantasque - Rossini-Respighi

Waltz and Polonaise from ‘Eugene Onegin’- Tchaikovsky
Composers shouldn't think too much -- it interferes with their plagiarism.

Both have 3 trombones, but no tuba.

Klaus,

You wouldn't happen to possess the rest of the third movement from Sibelius' Symphony No. 2 in scanned form, would you?

He posted all of it (1 page)...it ends on the low A and proceeds (attacca) to the last movement.

It's all available for free at IMSLP...get acquainted with it! (in other words, don't pay scammers over $100 for stuff you can print off yourself)

Sometimes musicology is even simpler than Italian: 3rd movement is on page 3. 4th movement starts on page 4.
