As I have no relations to this transaction, I hope this link will be acceptable. After all rotary tubas with the tuning in the leadpipe are quite rare:

Any ideas, who the maker is ?

I would say it is still worth it for the current bid.

Re: Anon German F-tuba odd airpath
My first focus points were with the structure, especially the tuning in the leadpipe and the rather unique entry into the main tuning slide. Also the valve block appears being set very high up.
I tend to be with Wade even if that wasn’t my first reaction.
The main frame from the second main tuning receiver and through the bell appears to be from an older F tuba by a maker with a very characteristic shield shape to the carrying ring flanges. Sadly I always forget the name of that maker. Just checked that it is neither Meinel & Herold nor Schuster. I think it a pre-WWII Bohemian maker with a German name.
The valve block looks old also, but the entry and exit angles are similar to some blocks from B&S.
The valve tubing wrap appears being original. Only I find the amount of tubing rather pointing towards an Eb tuba.

Good suggestion, but not them. I have started browsing the index of my brass galleries, but there are 5600++ entries.oedipoes wrote:Bohland & Fuchs ?imperialbari wrote: The main frame from the second main tuning receiver and through the bell appears to be from an older F tuba by a maker with a very characteristic shield shape to the carrying ring flanges.
