Ooh me, me, me!

That is if an ornament counts.

Merry Christmas and all of that good jazz

As part of a sponsorship deal with Willson in Switzerland, I was told a new 2900 euphonium left the factory last week!

I'm get an F tuba... as soon as I can come up with the money for it, minus $3,000, which means as soon as I can sell my $1,500 paintball gun that I'm selling for $1,150...

Do they make a taller version of the 'Voyager'?

Current 'stable'... Rudolf Meinl 5/4, Marzan (by Willson) euph, King 2341, Alphorn, and other strange stuff.

Does a euph count?

Post by Steve Inman »

eBay acquisition -- well-used King 2280 euph. After a bath and some de-denting, it should be a nice choice for an occasional doubler wannabe. It should be very helpful for strolling Christmas quartet playing. Seems appropriate to use a Christmas present to herald a far more significant Gift ....

I took a quick look on WW & BW and didn't find anything.
The Manhasset web site doesn't list a tall Voyager, just a short one: http://www.manhasset-specialty.com/stands.cfm Perhaps you could persuade them to sell you the guts of the tall #48T in a #52 Voyager body.

It does indeed ... and a Merry Christmas to you, too! :)

As to the subject: why wouldn't it count? Same instrument family, after all ... to paraphrase Dr. Seuss, "a tuba's a tuba, no matter how small"

That's almost scary. He looks exactly like Eli Manning.
