I have been giving private lessons to a high school kid for a couple of years now. He gets a good sound, practices occasionally, and shows up regularly for his lessons. The family is moving to Belle Air or Clearwater at the end of the summer and would like to find a tubist in that area to continue his lessons. Any suggestions?
Send me a PM if you like.

You can also facebook Jay. If he cannot teach this student, he will have an excellent recommendation for other Tampa/Clearwater area teachers.

I agree!Alex C wrote:Ditto for Jay! Amazing sound.
I remember hearing Jay play with the Florida Brass Quintet a couple of years ago at SRTEC (in a church on Siesta Key). He was playing an Alex I think ('F' maybe?). Great sound. I never saw where he had to pull a slide. Tone was great - and intonation was spot on! Fantastic horn player in that quintet too.
