Northwest Big Brass Bash 2010

Post by tex »

The Harvey Phillip's NW Big Brass Bash is being held at Central Washington University this weekend, July 16-18. At 6PM on Saturday, July 17th Curtis Peacock (aka Tex) will perform music by Bach and Wilhelm as well as JAZZ with RetroPotential in the CWU Music Building Recital Hall. There will also be a mass tuba/euph choir performance at 3PM on Sunday, July 18th in either downtown Ellensburg or the CWU Concert Hall, depending on weather. Both concerts are free and open to the public. Visit http://www.hpnwbbb.org/ for more information. Hope to see you there!

Hey Tex, you know anything more about the schedule of the Big Brass Bash this year besides recital Sat. at 7pm and concert Sun. at 3pm? It doesn't look like the schedule page for this year at the HPNWBBb site has any more information on time-- like when rehearsal starts on Sat. morning and that stuff.

Thanks, see you there.

Great! Gene's a great ambassador for our instruments, and carries on that tradition of promoting our instruments, not to mention he's one of the best tubists in the Northwest, let alone Western Canada.

Look forward to your clinics tomorrow and Sunday, Tex, see you there. Thanks,

Also, I'm not in charge of the Big Brass Bash, but I've officially declared the TAV as the hang for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. If you don't know the TAV it's on 4th and Main st. They've got an awesome selection of Beer and GREAT FOOD - I highly recommend their fried mushrooms, and double cheeseburger MMMMMMMMM

The final concert WILL be in downtown Eberg at 3PM! The wind is ok today - Come see Leonard Byrne of the Spokane Symphony play the Serpent in the large ensemble! I'm playing Eb Sousaphone too.
