Back in the day, when men were men and sheep were nervous, we wore Sousaphones with full shakos and plumes. There's no reason for a properly worn Sousaphone to interfere with headgear.
Now, if for some reason you think that the rim of the Sousaphone bell has to rest against your forehead...that's a different story. And, of course, if you are just conning the Band Director into letting you wear way-cool berets instead
of those tacky shakos and plumes, I suppose that's OK, too.
