NY Philharmonic Brass Ensemble

I was just in NYC in July and had the pleasure of hearing the New York Philharmonic Brass and Percussion Ensemble. I have to say this section is showing true depth and musicality, the section players are as good as the familiar solo stars, fabulous. Very good the conductor Daniel Boico, just enough conducting to keep the ensemble tight and never in the way. Could Alan Baer or one of you tell us what tuba he was playing for the July 19th concert?
