check with Brass Band of Battle Creek. Their version with I believe Sheridan and/or Zerkel toting the anchor is a thing of beauty...

I vaguely remember playing the brass band version; but it won't help me with brass quintet.

Gomalan Brass plays this on one of their CDs (Swinging Pool). They make it sound great!
