A kid from my county, Sodienye Finebone, is playing the 3rd movement of the Gregson with Christopher O'Riley on Sept.25th. Would any of our tubanetters be his teacher? I've never heard him play but will eagerly be tuned in to NPR on that date.

Local HS tubist on "From the Top"
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

Sodie is a friend of mine, and I believe his teacher is Michael Moore. I met him last summer at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. He was the tuba player for the BUTI orchestra, and I was one of the two in the wind ensemble. He's beginning his freshman year at New England Conservatory with Mr. Mike Roylance right now.

Yes, Sodie Finebone was a student of Michael Moore for the last few years. A fine young man and talented tubaist as well.
