I'll bet it won't stay cheap. I asked the seller about his reserve. He declined an exact answer saying "as much as he can get". Can't blame a guy for that! It looks like a pretty nice example. Whoever buys it needs to send me some better pictures for my web pages.

Sometimes these auctions surprise me. But I'm thinking perhaps $2,600 is about all it will draw... maybe a little more.

Agreed. I saw the ad and thought he'd be lucky to get $2500. Not that it isn't worth more, but that he won't get more selling it like that on eBay... It seems like most Marzans usually go in the $3500 to $4000 range, which is usually a "funny" price range for tubas.
