Mrs. bloke's chickens aren't doing many eggs these days. Mrs. bloke says, "molting" and I say, "old". She wants them as (expensive) pets, and I want to give them away to a struggling family (to EAT, instead of "for eggs"), and then start over with a batch of new baby chick hens.
Expensive? I understand that the major cost is chickenfeed.

Of course, one should note that we are coming to the end of BBQ season...

At first, I was like, "Oh sh*t!...That sousaphone body is floating". And then, I went on to think that the thread title meant: "we, the elite...can make things hover!".

Are the chickens in the Leghorn tradition also?

You are right about the chicken and egg matter. Get them, the chickens, eaten before they get too old for that also. If I ever were in my evil corner, I might see a reason, why the she-bloke has a better understanding for the chickens than you have.

I have repaired MANY fiberglass Sousas. Painting the smooth King bodies is a pain in the rump to get right. The 36K's and Olds are a piece of cake with the texturing. The only thing harder to paint than the smooth bodies are the smooth interior bell flares.

Nice job Bloke!

Very Interesting!

I was going to post about painting sousa's. What kind of paint do you use? I have two sousa's that I wanted to repaint in the school colors, blue and gold. Any tips?

Thanks,
