Man, isn’t it enough they sue you? Want us to go with you? I might have a vert qualified guess that your engraving looks beautiful and clear as always.

I downloaded it! It looks like some great stuff. The engraving is gorgeous, Wade. I'll talk to some folks and see if we can read through the book. Thanks!

I downloaded it as well. These arrangements have some excellent tuba parts. I can tell they were written by a tuba player :D I look forward to playing these this coming Christmas

I really like the looks of your Sleigh Ride. We've been doing the Purdie for several years and those screech parts always scare the living daylights out of me. I get them, sometimes, but really would rather be able to enjoy the tune without obsessing over some idiot wanting a 7th skip to an Eb in the trouble clef at breakneck speed. This is what we really need, accessable, playable, audience friendly stuff. Thanks! Check your PM.

Thanks Wade. We have our first quintet rehearsal in a couple of weeks so I'll definitely be taking these.

Downloaded, printed, and perhaps the "Wayward Winds" will be able to give this a "go" this holiday season...might have to transcribe the horn part for a euph player, but it looks very nice.

Quartet Folio NEW VERSION

EDIT:

I just decided to add in another group of pieces. Now there are five in the set, divided by scores and then by parts, with cover sheets for each. There is a single percussion part at this time. More will follow. More tunes will also follow.

If you use these please credit me, but DO NOT list any of these in a written program as they are not yet legal and will not be until after February. Consider this a less-than-legal pre-release freebie. Please only take a copy if you intend on using it in a live performance. Please do not give copies to anyone else. After Christmas the link gets pulled. Thanks for your cooperation.

Please let me know if you snag a copy and what you think after reading it. Comments, positive or negative, are always appreciated.

EDIT, again...

More goodies.

Added above is the new, improved set of quartet "space fillers" that allow you to spell your trumpets. I have given most of this material out to individuals in the past; this is a highly improved version, so if you have the old one please replace it with this version.

This book was an outgrowth of the venerable, march-sized, green G.E. Holmes book and has ended up, version by version, leaving the little green carol books in the dust. Not only do these fill time, they sound good, too!

We use these a lot when playing outdoors. They are set up in score format but there is no page turning during any piece. (Some are two pages, however.)

Most are sight-readable by a good ensemble.
I was able to download the original piece yesterday without problem. Today, though, I either lock up, get a ton of ads or a completely white screen--never a download. I appreciate the pieces, I just can't get to them! Help!

Great stuff, Wade.

Just curious: what program did you use? The engraving is beautiful. I doubt Finale could pull that off...

I got both the new versions several hours ago. What happens might look like a limit on the allowed traffic being hit.

As we have discussed shop privately, I happen to know that Wade uses Finale for engraving. His engraving style is very beautiful and readable.

Wade,

Scores and parts! You are too generous.

Thanks.

Very much agreed. I just finished a concert band arrangement of Knight Templar, and it was an absolute pain to figure out text editing and staff adjusting. Even after hours of use, I still can't find a good way to edit measure space (I guess just one at a time!)
