MARKIE Company

Anyone know of an instrument maker by the name of MARKIE Company in Rochester, NY? By the look of the horn it was maybe early 1930-40s? Thoughts?

Can you post a picture? At this point, I'm guessing that the horn is a music store 'stencil'. A picture will probably indicate if it's a domestic stencil or European.

Don't have a picture but I'll try to get one. Horn is own by the bass trombonist in the orchestra I play in. He bought it in Cleveland, OH some years ago. Its a frankenstein type horn, but the bell and all the branches up till the main tuning slide look to be from the same horn (Markie Co). The horn is a 5 valve F, with 3 valves on the right hand and 2 on the left hand. The 5th valve is a flat 1st. Short little horn, bell flare is almost to the top of my head. The valve casings and tuning slides are silver plated. You play the horn like if you are hugging someone. Horn is very free blowing, awesome low C, though a couple of notes in the mid-upper range are kinda funky.
