Anybody know what the "N" stands for ?

The seller states that the PT-72N fits standard MW, B&S, and Hirsbrunner receivers.

I'm mostly just curious as I have never seen such a thing before.

These were are the markings I've seen for shank sizes.

Regular: (15.2 mm)
Standard shank, for contemporary CC and BBb tubas with large receivers.
"S" on shank: (14.8 mm)
One size smaller, for CC and BBb tubas with small receivers and most Eb and F tubas.
"XS" on shank: (14.5 mm)
For Eb or F tubas with particularly small receivers.
"AM" on shank: (14.2 mm)
For instruments with extremely small receivers.

I had the opportunity to spend much time around all the PT line of MPs -- including while many of the "new models" were being developed, as well as the "new" numbering system. Have not come across that "N" designation previously.

A quick check through my old paper resources yielded nothing. I am curious to learn what this designates.

During a visit with Bob Tucci a few summers ago, he recommended the 72N for my PT12G. His explanation of the "N" designation was simply that they were making a batch of 72's and these ones came out differently for whatever reason. I'm assuming the N stands for new, but he didn't say.
