a very faithful copy if i do say so. The mouth pipe to valve cluster coupling is brass. On YBB-641 it's nickel silver. The ornamentation on the ferrules is not the same, but that really isn't a big deal.

I wonder if it plays as well as a 641?

bloke "or it COULD be a REAL YBB-641. The newest Yamaha saxophones that I've seen are stamped 'MADE IN CHINA'." :|
The bore of the Vento (IF it's not a typo) is quite a bit larger than the 641. Honestly... from my perspective... I don't know why anyone would want to clone a YBB-641. I think they're dreadful horns!

Wasn't the "Vento" name engraved on B&S stencils in the 1990s ?

Is Vento a store brand or something?

Yamaha makes (or made?) stencils for Holton. Could this be another?

Why? Well, from my knothole, they're stuffy, mismatched bore-to-bottom bow flare-to-bell and have grossly uneven response and intonation. But aside from that, hey, they're great.

Thanks, Dave. I couldn't have said it better!
