I just picked up a late 1950s Eb Holton model 111 Sousa (Well I will take possession of it right after Christmas). This will be my first Eb horn and will be used for parades and outdoor festivals etc.
The horn is missing a tuning bit and I am not having a lot of luck finding a replacement. Any suggestions on where to would be greatly appreciated.
Also I would like some suggestions on mouthpieces for it. I am newly returned to playing tuba after almost 20 years. I use a Helleberg on my 3/4 CC concert horn and the Conn fiberglass BBb Sousa I am borrowing from the local high-school. Should I stick with the Helleberg or go with something more like a 24AW or maybe a Wick 3 or 2.
Thanks for the help

Please post a picture of the neck and bit that you have, and I will see if I have a replacement piece.
Good luck!

I had some luck with a 24AW and a G&W Diablo on my 1940 King Eb.
We pronounce it Guf Coast
