Hi I was wondering does anyone know anything about this tuba? I am interested in buying it as my BBb tuba. Thank you.

Re: Bohm and Meinl
What exactly is it that you want to know? Boehm and Meinl is a good German maker. They also made Marzan Tubas. Boehm and Meinl is run (if I am not mistaken) by Walter Nirschl, first cousin of Gerhard Meinl.
That is a little back ground on the company. I cannot personally speak to about the quality of the horn because I don't have any hands on experience with one. If the history of the company and the family is any indication, I would bet that it is a good solid horn if it has been cared for properly in the past.

I haven't gotten to try any, but I've heard B&M's can be rather inconsistent...
I think I might end up as a grumpy old man when I get old...
