It is close to 5 months since Belltrouble aka. Kurt Klingspor posted here. He also has gone passive in another context shared between the two of us.
Any knowledge about the wellbeing of Kurt?

Re: Any knowledge about German TubeNet’ter Kurt?
I have heard that Kurt is seriously ill and in hospital - feared he may not last out the year.
Very sad! I had the privilege to visit "Belltrouble" Kurt last year and like so many tuba players, he is a really good and decent man.
A Christmas wish for Kurt to pull through and play tuba again!

Very sad news, and totally surprising from my contacts with him, which were all about his musical plans.
I most certainly hope he will make it!

I've been concerned, too. I used to get frequent phone calls and emails from Kurt... usually about tubas. He's a good guy. I Hope he's OK.

I've gotten no replies from texts and his phone is "temporarily unavailable." Will keep trying.

How particularly dreadful for his family at such a time. May Kurt rest in peace!TubaTinker wrote:I received word this morning that Kurt Klingspor passed away Christmas Eve.

I, too, spoke with Kurt away from the internet and found him to be a charming man. I found that we had mutual friends in the musical world too. This is indeed, sad news.

I'm told it was cancer. I have a German friend looking for the obituary.the elephant wrote:I am really surprised and saddened by this. RIP, Belltrouble...
If it was an illness, perhaps someone over there could set up a small fund to which we could donate? It could help defray medical costs for his survivors.
