Yearly check... valved F bass in Chicago?

Post by Bob Kolada »

I have a lead on a Miraphone F bass trombone. However, though I have a lot of face time on contrabone and tiny bass tubas I've not played one of these horns and the one I'm looking at is at the other side of the country.

Does anyone in Chicago have one of these I could honk on for 15 minutes or so? I have a variety of odd horns you could try. :D

Thanks!

Why do you want a stuffy, out-of-tune instrument that has a disproportionately small bore size?
