Re: Herrick - Moeck Hollywood Mouthpiece
When I was in LA, I have SEVERAL Herrick mouthpices, bs bone AND tuba. I have NO idea where they ended up. But nothing like this one.

Re: Herrick - Moeck Hollywood Mouthpiece
I bought one of these off eBay on a lark several years back. The rim was about Bach 18 size. It was, however, the shallowest tuba mouthpiece I've ever seen. Seriously, imagine the shallowest tuba mouthpiece you've ever seen, then imagine one half as deep. The cup was pretty V-shaped so the total cup volume was really minuscule. It also had a very small throat. I gave it away to another TubeNet member who was looking for a very small mouthpiece. I don't think she found it very useful either. As a paperweight, though, it does have an undeniable cool factor.

I never thought to try. It had an American tuba shank, I don't know that it would have fit.
