World Premiere of Mark Richardson's Tuba Concerto...

Post by tmmcas1 »

On Saturday March 19th @ 8:30pm as part of East Carolina University's New Music Festival I will be premiering Mark Richardson's new Tuba Concerto. It's out there, but still accessible! Join us this Saturday:

I should also note that the rest of the festival this year is incredible: Midori, Jon Nelson, Jonathan Lombardo, the Genkin Philharmonic...

Come check some stuff out or join us online for the Webcasts...

I tried to listen and watch, Tom. Unfortunately, I got an error message, "Not Found." This happened on my PC and my Mac, both of which have the latest version of QuickTime installed.

Sorry that I missed your performance. Is there any other access to an archive of the video?

Steve,

My wife, who was trying to watch at home with our baby boy, got the same message. Apparently all the video was screwy this weekend. This is embarrassing! Grrr....

Message me off list and I'll get you a recording and a copy of the program. Thanks for the interest and I apologize for the lack of video broadcast. BOOO!!!!

Allow me to quote Mr. Fabulous from the "Blues Brothers" movie:

Mr. Fabulous: It's a f***ing barn. We'll never fill it.

Plus, it was a Tuba concerto....

Ian, the lowest note during the cadenza was the A-flat below lowest A on the piano, occurring at 5:36 in the second video segment.

Very lyrical playing, Tom. Thanks for sharing.
