It would be a good guess that a prototype could be on display at the Tuba Euphonium Conference in Flagstaff AZ this May. I hope they also make a BBb version for the Brass Band market.

I have the working prototype at my office, but I think it needs some adjustment before showing it, so it won't likely go to SWRTEC. At this price, it has to be spectacular, so it's better to wait. I talked with Zig about pricing yesterday, and he thinks the street price will be $9000 introductory, $10000 after, plus case. It does fit (barely) in the SKB390W case. It's about the size of a PT6P.

Best,

Forgive me if this was answered, but what will the bore be on this tuba?

What does one mean by introductory?

The first few that sell will be at a lower price, then the rest will be the set price. Sounds like a great buy (i missed out on the intro Kanstul 90  )

I played this horn briefly yesterday and I liked a lot of things about it. The big problem I noticed was that open C in the staff was out of tune, I can't remember if it was sharp or flat. This is a big horn though, gigantic compared to the Kanstul 80 F.

Sorry to revive an old thread but, is there any new information out on this horn?
