I have slight concerns about the 90 degree turn where the leadpipe meets the valves. Have I lost my mind or does that seem like a bad idea? Granted, if I had two-thousand Euro to blow on a flugelhorn, I'd be allowed to lose my mind from time to time.

That detail is seen fairly often in small trumpets.
