VMI and B&S euphs

Does anyone know what the difference is, if any, between the VMI 3171 and the B&S 171 euphs? WWBW sells both with some price differential. The specs are identical for the most part.

I called there and spoke to a "brass specialist". She was very polite and tried to be halpful, but was clearly without a clue. Sure miss you Roger . . .

The VMI 3171 was my first brass instrument. It was well made, sounded great, and was eay to play. A few folks here were carping about the intonation of these horns but I never had any major problem with mine. I do note that the current selling price is almost double what I paid for mine back in early 2004.
