Why do people like these? From what i understand, they dont play in tune and sound less than stellar. Plus, most people dont have the money to make a "Selfone".

The seller note is interesting - if played with a standard tuba mouthpiece it probably would have some sound issues! It is not noted if it is a Bb (Baritone size) or Eb (tuba size) - it seems like there are some of both around.

I played a Bb version few years ago with a Euph mp and it wasn't great - maybe an old style Eb tuba mouthpiece might have fit. but I didn't try that. I think a lot of the problems are from the valve cluster design - lots of very tight bends (that don't show up in the pictures.)

Sucks for me. In AZ, the rats are big as hell, the bugs are venomous, and everything else can eat a cat :(
