I was standing outside the bathtub, assisting my four-year-old son with one of his first showers yesterday evening. He said he had to pee. I told him to just pee in the shower, but face the front. My definition of the front was the side of the tub where the faucet is. He obviously had a different definition, as he turned directly towards me and sprayed all over my pants.

I'm playing again this summer at the Quartz Mountain Music Festival. Unfortunately for me, the only piece on the program that uses tuba is the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2. As a result, I only get two days at the festival and a severely reduced paycheck. Bummer.

You have been updated.

I really like Royal Carribean. Haven't been on Jewel of the Seas yet but would like to. Tampa is only 10 hours away. Very tempting.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

Summer finally arrived to Absarokee, we had temps above 80 degrees. I can now comfortable wear shorts and with my pale legs and new tennis shoes may be mistakenly taken to be a tourist. But then again the natives probably consider that I am, those who are the 3rd or 4th generation of those who homesteaded in the area.

Getting ready for the Fishtail Family Fun Daze parade - tomorrow at 11:00. :D

schlepporello wrote:Had a great time today at a shooting event for our men's group from church. We shot a lot of trap and apparently I'm the only person who was there that reloads 12 gauge shells. And we had roughly 30 men shooting. Guess who got all of the empties? :D

After we were done with trap shooting, a few of us walked over to the pistol range. I got to shoot two of my new pistols finally and my old favorite, my Ruger .44 mag Vaquero. The two new pistols were my Taurus Judge with the 3" chambered cylinder and my 5-shot Taurus snubby in .357 mag. The two new pistols shot fabulously and the "Judge" is fun to shoot birdshot out of at coke cans and has relatively mild recoil compared to some of my other handguns. I got to introduce some of our men to the joys of shooting a .44 mag and all was going wonderfully with it until my front sight fell off. I noticed it was missing after i had loaded six fresh shells into it and was lining up my first shot. Well, since it was off and I couldn't do anything about it, I decided to shoot anyways. I got off two more shots and guys started hollering that I had other parts falling off. The ejector rod, spring and housing had all gone their own separate ways. I found all the missing parts except for the ejector housing screw. Since this gun is no longer in production, I may be out of luck in finding a replacement screw, I may end up having to search the grounds with a magnet in hopes of finding it. Anyhow, it has always been my understanding that Ruger makes one of the strongest revolvers in the business. I find it odd that the front sight fell off though when it's permanently fixed. I think an e-mail to Sturm Ruger is in order.
Second the opinion on the Judge. Saw it in my shooters magazine and had to have it.
On a separate note, I go to CCW classes this week! WooHoo!

After a 2.5 hour trail ride into the mountains, ribs are on the smoker for this evening. It'll be the perfect weather for eating outdoors after the ribs come off in 3 hours; by supper time, I expect temps in the mid-60s and a glorious sunset!

Be jealous.

Went to a minor-league baseball game (non-affiliated) tonight, which was followed by a terrific fireworks display. I cannot think of a better way to spend a beautiful summer evening.

Then you, my friend, have been looking at the wrong TubeNet topic. This is the "Update Update" section, where you will be updated on whatever. Check some of the early posts on this thread and you will see why it exists, and why you are receiving such "useful" information.
