Give me your Vote and I will listen

Post by MackBrass »

If I post on the sposnsor page then no one can comment and bring their thoughts out for others to hear.

Since I will be recording the Ride, Fountains and maybe something else on Wed night using the 186 clone, where would the masses like for me to post when the video is ready? This section or the sponsor's section?

Also, is there somthing specific you all would like to hear on the 186 clone? let me know and I will get my rusty chops on it.

I would like to mention this:

My intention is to let those intertesed, hear what these horns sound like since most have never heard them, seen them in action, or played them. If someone else would like to put their talents out their and do the demo for me, I would be more than willing to let them. This way it doesn't look like I am peddling in the wrong section and someone else can take the credit for the demo.

Let me know, I will be more than happy to be guided by the masses and not the few.

Tom, you're quite obviously an excellent player, no matter how out of practice you claim to be sometimes. :)

How about something with clammed notes, botched intonation, and poor articulation so we can know what WE might sound like playing it? :P

I think it's great that you're posting some demos of the 186 clones! I'm getting one of these in silver from Al in September and I'd like to hear how they sound.
I think they should be posted in the TubeNet forum instead of the Sponsors forum because people can leave feedback. Plus, the intention of the demo is to show how it sounds, not to sell it.
I've really enjoyed the F and BBb demos you've posted so far and I'm looking forward to how the CC sounds.

You could post two topics, put the video in the sponsers section and them put a thoughts topics in this section (just a thought)

I second the request for Meistersinger, which should give a good idea of the tone and response in a commonly played range. I also second the compliments on the playing in the other videos. It is very helpful to hear the horns, and to see them being played.

I realize I'm new meat here however, I for one found the demo of the JinBoa BBb tuba both interesting and informative. I did not view it as a "sales pitch" but an "information only" opportunity.

If and when I enter the market for a new tuba ( I hope to in a year or two) video demos such as Tom gave is benficial to me. If by religating such demos to the Sponsor section and commentary and observation cannot be posted by the membership then no good comes of it.

I would like to see a comparitive demo using the 4 piston valve model BBb.

Please keep 'em coming. :tuba: I am here to get information to assist with my journey to re-learn the art of playing this magnificent instrument.

Thank you,
Jim

I vote that this probelm be solved by opening up the vendor's section for comments.
