I own a PT-606p and within the last couple of months, I have noticed what sounds like a gurgle/rattle in my first valve. Some times this is noticeable to audience members, sometimes it is not, but I can always hear it. I have had the horn sonic cleaned and have run water through it to make sure there was no extra anything in there. When searching around the horn, I notice the the problem stops when I cover the back valve hole with my finger.
Any ideas on what the problem could be and of a way to fix it?
Thanks for the help.

Re: First Valve Issue
I'm assuming from your post you have a vented valve. It sounds like the passage through the interior of the valve itself is clogged up. Holding a finger over the vent, blow through the bottom of the valve and see if you get good flow through the vent at the top of the valve. If not, have the valve itself cleaned to see if anything dissolves out. If you don't have a vented first valve, disregard this post.

Re: First Valve Issue
A gurgling and a rattling sound would each be have different sources.
Where are you located? Take your horn to a tech and let them look at it for you.
A gurgling usually means water is trapped somewhere.
iiipopes advice is very good if you have a vented 1st valve.
