That is the reason to buy an M&M tuba - melts in your mouth, not on your pants.Tabor wrote:Which one has that velvety tone that melts in your hands?

I think you just wanted the 9th or 10th thread on Jinbao or Chinese tubas that shows up on the front page of the forum.

Yum! Nothing to be sorry about Jeff. I remember an Indonesian coworker of mine years ago who made them himself and brought them into the shop to share. They were mighty tasty. Jonathan was a blast to work with. Really nice guy.The Big Ben wrote:Jinbao? Isn't that one of those dough balls with meat in the center?

Seeing how this thread on chinese tubas is pointless and probably going nowhere, anyone have some good recipes for Chinese cosine?

Bloke, What have you been smoking???bloke wrote:Jinbao Eb 5v cimbasso - a bargain

Jinbao F 7V cimbasso - stuffy but superb, 6 of the valves work great
I prefer to buy them from the guy in Iceland. He includes Hetman oil and a Klier mpc.
I have three of each, which I keep stored in lockers below the halls at each of my full-time opera orchestra gigs.
btw, I'm selling six of the cases, if anyone is interested.

TubeNet saves bloke a lot of shrink money.

Can I get mine with globe valves?bloke wrote:By the way, my own brand of Jinbao Eb and F cimbassos will be knows as L&N.
They will have none of the problems associated with anyone else's, and the valves will all go in the same direction, but the opposite direction of other all-in-one-direction instruments. The extra resistance offers a more solid tone. By the way, the valves are pistons.![]()

The finger buttons are on the bottoms of the valves?bloke wrote:They will have none of the problems associated with anyone else's, and the valves will all go in the same direction, but the opposite direction of other all-in-one-direction instruments.
