Hi-
I see that GARD is making their tuba 'wheelie gig bags' for 3/4, 4/4 & 5/4 (really 6/4) tubas now. I know the bell is at the bottom of the bag, but I am curious to try one and order one to check out. I know WWBW lists them all but they are pre order for 2012 ( and since they are going out in 2011), why bother.
Does anyone know who might have a particular model IN STOCK? I would order one just to check it out. If you hear if any at a store, email me at: jonestuba@Juno.com" target="_blank. Thanks!
PS. If anyone owns one and is looking to sell theirs, I'd be interested too-email with siE, model type, & price. Thanks.

Re: GARD Wheelie Tuba Bags
Eeeeee. I'd be really afraid to be wheeling around a tuba in the bell down position.

Tony-
I am not delighted with their idea either, but would like to try it and check it out.

PS. Or...get one and have the Chinese correctly (bell up) clone it......

Re: GARD Wheelie Tuba Bags
I've been wanting a wheeling gig bag for some time; it seems like a really simple idea to me. No way, I'd put a 20-30 pound tuba in a case, bell down, then wheel it. One bump over a curb, or down a stair and the bell is wrinkle city. ARE YOU LISTENING, GARD?!?
