Anybody knows where I can find the valve dampers for a Besson 983 Eb tuba (the rubbery off-whitish neoprene 'nubs' on either side of the spring in the valve casing)..?
I checked the usual places on TubeNet, but they mentioned it could take months to years for them to come in.
Just looking for the (4) top- smaller/taller, and (4) bottom-larger/flatter ones. I don't suppose anybody has another set lying around?

Have your repairman order them directly from Buffet-Crampon in Florida. The Buffet parts man's name is Joe D'ambrosio. 1-800-426-7068.

Re: Valve dampers for a Besson 983 Eb tuba
These dudes can help you out: https://www.windcraft.co.uk/" target="_blank" target="_blank. I have purchased quite a few items from them and they are very good. It will take seven to ten days to get what they send. (I live in Virginia.) Also, they carry finger buttons, water troughs, valve guides, etc. - things that are seemingly difficult for the average Joe to get hold of. Give them a try and forget working through Buffet-Crampon in the United States. Buffet-Crampon US is nothing short of a disaster, having tried several times to get parts.
