Kent State will have a Graduate Tuba Assistantship open in the Fall 2012 semester. Kent offers many options for graduate work (see below). You do not have to be a performance major to be eligible for the GA.
Half time tuba assistantship
Duties: Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, help assist with tuba studio.
Covers 8 credits tuition free
Stipend approximately $4,000 for the year
Master of Music (M.M.): Performance, Conducting, Music Education
Master of Arts (M.A.): Composition, Ethnomusicology, Musicology, Theory
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): Music Education, Musicology-Ethnomusicology, Music Theory-Composition
