Conn have had different models through the years. Can someone shed some light over the differences between this one and this?

They're beautiful looking horns, but the only full sized old Eb I've found to have acceptable intonation are the 1950's Conns.

Thanks guys. I understand from your comments that it would be sound to be a bit sceptical to old Conns esepcially regarding intonation. Better to pass on these ones then?!

It refers to the shape of the bell. A "pancake" bell with flare and continue flaring until until it is almost flush with the rim of the bell.

In case that wasn't clear due to typographical error or whatever, "pancake" means "flattened" (in the sense of shape, of course, as opposed to notes.)
